This past weekend, approximately 60,000 people gathered in Toronto for the Walk with Israel. It was the largest turnout ever for this event, and was, in all likelihood, the biggest gathering of Jews in Canadian history.

So you would think that Canada’s new Ministerial Advisory Council on Rights, Equality, and Inclusion – the very council that Prime Minister Mark Carney tasked with addressing antisemitism the week before – would have been there. And yet, not a single member of the council attended. And that matters.
