  • June 29, 2015: Thanks to HRC’s intervention, context was added to a Vancouver Sun article detailing how Israel’s blockade of Gaza is legal, is necessary because the Hamas terrorist organization rules the Strip, and how Israel provides and facilitates the transfer of humanitarian aid to the people of Gaza.
  • October 24, 2012: “Setting it Straight: The Mavi Marmara was a passenger vessel bringing humanitarian aid to Gaza, according to the Israeli foreign affairs ministry. Incorrect information appeared Oct. 23 on page B2.”
  • Dec 27 2008: “Article stated Israeli militants fire rockets and mortars.” Correction: “The people described in the report were Palestinian terrorists.”
  • Nov 6 2008: “A Palestinian activist died in an Israeli raid, was a member of the armed wing of the radical Islamic Jihad movement.” Editor stated “the word ‘activist’ was not appropriate in this situation.”
  • Feb 8, 2007: Headline unfairly stated that Israel was thwarting peace talks without attribution. Apology secured.
  • Oct 19, 2006: Letter to the editor erroneously claimed that Hamas fired rockets at Israel from Lebanon, in reality Hezbollah fired rockets.  Correction issued.
