- February 27, 2013: Hamilton Spectator published an unfair headline alleging Israel had “assassinated” a Palestinian prisoner, whereas Israel disputes these Palestinian allegations saying the detainee died of cardiac arrest. HRC called on the Spectator to amend the online headline and the paper agreed and made the edit.
- February 27, 2013: Hamilton Spectator unpublished an anti-Semitic comment in a message board appended to a news article about Mideast matters after HRC intervened.
- July 8 2008: “Story reported that Israel has exchanged convicted terrorist Samir Quntar for the remains of two soldiers captured by Lebanese militant group Hezbollah in a raid in 2006. In fact, the exchange has not yet taken place.” Correction issued.
- Nov 6, 2006: Editorial cartoon misspells Israel. Admission of error and apology secured.
