CBC News is continuing to solidify its reputation as an unpaid spokesperson for anti-Israel radicals, and doing so shamelessly.

In a November 18 article for CBC News, “Jet fighter maintenance parts, bombs shipped to Israel via U.S., groups say in new report,” Senior Reporter Raffy Boudjikanian dutifully devoted an entire article to the demands of a hardline anti-Israel group, World Beyond War.

The article led with Boudjikanian telling readers that “hundreds of shipments of explosives and fighter jet components have made their way from Canada to Israel by passing through the U.S. over the last two years.”

He further quoted Rachel Small, an “organizer” for World Beyond War, as complaining that Canada is helping Israel “to carry out war crimes in Gaza.”

Boudjikanian also quoted Boutaina Chafi from the Palestinian Youth Movement (PYM), a group that held a public celebration for Hamas’ terrorist massacres on October 7, 2023, though that context was conveniently erased. In fact, Boudjikanian made no mention at all of PYM’s longstanding extremism, instead portraying it as simply an advocacy organization.

The report gave lengthy publicity for World Beyond War’s allegations that Canadian export rules are indirectly helping Israel to defend itself against genocidal Islamic terrorists.

Beyond using a radical anti-Israel group’s allegations for the basis of yet another news report, Boudjikanian’s article did not quote a single person or organization who could have challenged the very premise of the report, namely that helping Israel defend itself against murderous Islamic terrorist groups like Hamas is somehow a problem.

Nobody was quoted or cited who could have explained that helping Israel defend itself against such genocidal entities is not only decidedly not problematic, but in fact fully in line with Canadian law and Canadian values, and doing otherwise is a slap in the face to a democratic ally of Ottawa. But as per a consistent practice at CBC News, those voices were completely censored out.

Instead, the only supposed balance offered was a statement from Global Affairs Canada, which said that Ottawa has denied export permits for weapons to Israel, hardly constituting anything even close to balance.

This article is not an exception to CBC News’ overt anti-Israel bias, but the latest manifestation of it. On multiple occasions over the last two years, Raffy Boudjikanian alone has given anti-Israel activists white glove treatment, giving them a sympathetic platform to spew disinformation, part of the publicly-funded broadcaster’s anti-Israel campaign.

CBC News’ bias is not limited to Israel. As alleged by former anchor Travis Dhanraj, the broadcaster claims to present a diversity of opinions, but in reality promotes a narrow ideological viewpoint, as also articulated in a recent opinion column by commentator Adam Zivo.

Raffy Boudjikanian’s November 18 article for CBC News is yet another instance of Canada’s publicly-funded broadcaster seeming to take its talking points directly from anti-Israel radicals, all while hiding any opposing views from public mention.
