CBC Radio’s As It Happens radio program featured a must-hear interview last night with Amnesty International’s Donatella Rovera, where she discussed Palestinian-on-Palestinian violence and torture in the wake of the Hamas takeover of Gaza last June.
According to the program’s teaser: "Abuses committed by the group (Hamas) have been widely reported in the international press."
"Many countries, including Canada, consider Hamas to be a terrorist organization. And those same countries have looked to Fatah, the party’s political rival, as the key to peace in the Palestinian territories. But a new report from Amnesty International shows that it’s harder than it seems to identify good guys and bad guys in Gaza and the West Bank."
