Munich 35 years ago today, the massacre of 11 Israeli athletes took place at the 1972 Munich Games, when the Palestinian terrorist group, Black September slipped into the Olympic Village and took the Israeli athletes and coaches hostage.

The horrific images still resonate today.  CBC television captured the raw emotions of that day in a special report from their archives.
