    • April 22, 2022: Subsequent to HonestReporting Canada’s complaint to CBC News sent on April 21, our public broadcaster has corrected its previously falsely reporting that “Palestinians threw rocks in response” to Israeli Police action, by reversing the chronology of events. As well, per HRC’s request, CBC also covered recent Palestinian rocket attacks against Israeli civilians.

    • CBC Online, December 28 2009: “Israel to build new housing in east Jerusalem“: Report depicted Israel as building Jewish-only housing in east Jerusalem and omitted mention of housing development for East Jerusalem Arabs. Report revised: “Plans for development have included Arab families, the government has stressed. Last week, Israel authorized the building of 500 new homes in Silwan, one of Jerusalem’s Arab neighbourhoods.”
    • CBC Radio: The World At Six, Sept 23 2009: On-Air Correction: “A correction to an item broadcast last night. In one of our introductions yesterday we said that ‘Israel annexed Jerusalem’ in fact it was only East Jerusalem that was annexed.”
    • Globe and Mail, Oct 2 2008: “A secondary headline in Saturday ’s Focus section referred to Jerusalem as the Israeli capital. Israel declared Jerusalem its capital in 1949, and most of its major governmental institutions are there. Only a few countries have formally recognized Jerusalem as the capital, but many maintain diplomatic presences in the city.” Correction issued.
