  • August 24, 2021: CBC Updates Report Of Mike Richards Resigning As Jeopardy! Host To Refer To His Derogatory Remarks Against Jews
  • May 21, 2021: Subsequent to our complaint, the Toronto Star issued a story update to acknowledge that there was violence targeting Jews at anti-Israel protests in Toronto and a correction was published to set the record straight that Hamas hasn’t fired one rocket at Israel, its fired scores, though this article doesn’t disclose that close to 4,000 rockets were fired in the 11-day conflict. Here’s the correction: “Correction: This article was updated from a previous version that said Hamas fired a single rocket into Israel on Monday.” Here’s the story update memo: “Update: This article was updated from a previous version after charges against protesters were reported by Toronto police on Sunday.”
  • August 9, 2019: Edmonton Journal Apologizes for Antisemitic Cartoon: A message from the Edmonton Journal: “Last week, on Aug. 1, the Edmonton Journal ran an editorial cartoon depicting a shadowy figure in a wallet next to the words “Data hacker” in relation to the breach of customer information at Capital One. It has since been pointed out that the image of the person bears resemblance to anti-Semitic tropes prevalent in some anti-Jewish propaganda. This resemblance was entirely unintentional, but given that association, the Edmonton Journal apologizes for the publication of the cartoon. We are re-examining the procedures we have in place to vet editorial content to avoid future such occurrences.”
  • July 7, 2015: Globe and Mail: After an HRC complaint, the Globe And Mail Amended A Gerald Caplan column which falsely claimed that Prime Minister Harper believes that “all criticism of Israeli policies is “the new anti-Semitism”.
  • June 4, 2015: CBC Online: CBC warns commentators about anti-Israel hate speech after HRC intervention
  • December 26, 2013: After HRC Complaint, CTV Unpublishes Claim that “Israel Practices Genocide” Against Palestinians
  • May 13, 2013: Toronto Star: Toronto Star Removes Anti-Semitic Commentary After HRC Complaint
  • February 27, 2013: Hamilton Spectator unpublished an anti-Semitic comment in a message board appended to a news article about Mideast matters after HRC intervened.
  • Cyberpresse, Sept 22, 2010: Cyberpresse website put in place a moderated blog following HonestReporting Canada complaint about anti-Semitic comments posted on the Richard Hétu blog: (French to English translation) “Notice to Readers: All comments from readers of this blog will now be moderated, without exception.   • National Post, Aug 19 2008: “Hal Turner is the anti-Semitic author whose writing, republished in a newspaper sold by Toronto’s homeless, prompted the Canadian Jewish Congress to complain to police. An incorrect name appeared in an editorial yesterday in the National Post.” Correction issued.
