Israeli Government Video Irks Palestinians

Israeli Deputy Foreign Minister Danny Ayalon’s video entitled “The Truth About The West Bank” has proven very successful, having generated almost 300 000 views on YouTube since its release two weeks ago. The video, explaining the historical facts behind the Arab-Israel conflict, has received condemnation from Saeb Erakat, the PA’s lead negotiator. In the video, Ayalon explains why the settlements are not illegal and why the territories are “disputed”, not “occupied”. Ayalon challenged “any of the Palestinian Authority political leadership to a debate on all the issues ahead of September”. So far, no takers.
