The Israel Defense Forces launched five airstrikes early Tuesday, at targets in the Gaza Strip, foiling a terrorist attack. In a fifth air strike, the IAF targeted a squad of terrorists planning to carry out mortar attacks on Israel moments before their attack. The IAF foiled those attempts, confirming a direct hit. According to Hamas medical sources, one gunman was killed and five other people were wounded.
The Israel Air Force carried out pre-dawn attacks on four targets in the Gaza Strip, confirming direct hits at all locations. The IDF strikes came in response to rocket fire from Hamas-ruled Gaza hours earlier, which struck inside the Israeli city of Be’er Sheva. There were no reported injuries in the rocket attack.
