Human Rights Watch: Objective Experts or Anti-Israel Ideologues?

For years, non-governmental organization watchdogs such as NGO Monitor have claimed that Human Rights Watch, the international human rights group, is ideologically motivated by an anti-Israel agenda. Through thorough investigations and detailed reports, the organization has painstakingly attempted to show HRW’s anti-Israel bias. James Ron, a member of Human Rights Watch’s Canada Council, and Howard Ramos, an assistant professor of Sociology at Dalhousie University, conducted their own research into the matter and published the results in an opinion piece which appeared in the Ottawa Citizen this weekend. Their conclusions: “There is no anti-Israel or anti-democratic conspiracy at work.”
