HRC Webinar: Censorship, Corruption & Lack of Democracy in the Palestinian Authority

by Robert Walker

It’s a topic that’s consistently ignored by the mainstream media, revealing a soft bigotry of low expectations.

It’s well known and extensively documented that the Palestinian Authority is rife with corruption and cronyism, a regime that criminalizes dissent and is censorial; acting with autocratic rule.

These, in and of themselves, are serious impediments towards improving living conditions for everyday Palestinians and to necessary institution building in the territories, and yet, our journalists refuse to cover this major obstacle to Palestinian self-determination and to peace between Israelis and Palestinians.

We are honoured and thrilled to have Khaled Abu-Toameh as our keynote speaker for our Insider Briefing on April 25 at 1pm ET. An award-winning producer and TV journalist who covers Palestinian affairs for the Jerusalem Post, Khaled will provide an expert, first-hand perspective of these stumbling blocks that deny a better future for Palestinians, and Israelis alike.

Our webinar is free of charge and no registration is required. Simply join via Zoom at the day/time of our webinar. Zoom: http://zoom.us/j/96298660401 or by Webinar ID: 962 9866 0401 or call: (647) 374-4685.
