HRC Secures Correction In Toronto Star

Yesterday’s edition of the Toronto Star carried a letter to the editor which erroneously stated that the bombing at Qana in 2006 claimed the lives of "54 civilians."

This erroneous claim was originally based on a preliminary report by Human Rights Watch which was later revised on August 2 to indicate that only ?28 people are confirmed dead?. The revised report is available online by clicking here.

HonestReporting Canada brought this error to the Star’s attention, who promply set the record straight by amending the letter online and by issuing the following correction today:
