HRC Prompts Globe And Mail Amendment: Missing Remains Of Israeli Found In Israel Proper, Not Near Gaza

On June 3, the Globe and Mail published a Reuters wire article to its website with a headline that was misleading as it stated: “Missing Israeli presumed among Hamas hostages found dead near Gaza,” however, the remains of Dolev Yehoud were recently identified, some eight months after Hamas’ October 7 massacres, and was found near Kibbutz Nir Oz, a border village in sovereign Israeli territory.

Contrary to the Globe’s headline, his remains were not found “near Gaza”. After HRC brought this error to the Globe’s attention, an amendment was issued which set the record straight.

We thank the Globe and Mail for taking corrective action.
