HRC In Telegraph-Journal: "Terrorists Must Be Confronted"

August 27, 2014

In the August 23rd edition of the Telegraph-Journal newspaper, HRC Executive Director Mike Fegelman says that terrorists like Hamas must be confronted and relegated to the sidelines when trying to procure Mideast peace.

Here is the letter in full:

In the letter “Just who are the terrorists” (Aug. 19) the writer would have you believe that Israel “are the terrorists” not Hamas, a radical Islamist organization dedicated to the Jewish state’s destruction and the genocide of Jews.

According to Article 7 of Hamas’ charter: “The time will not come until the Jews hide behind rocks and trees, which will cry: O Muslim! There is a Jew hiding behind me, come on and kill him.”

Hamas has terrorized millions of Israelis when firing over 3,000 deadly indiscriminate rockets at 3.5 million Israelis and by trying to tunnel into Israel proper to massacre children.

In Canada, Hamas is rightly listed as a banned terror group, an organization that dispatches suicide bombers to maim and murder innocents. An outlawed terror group that gives children grenades for use against Israelis, which executed 30 innocent Palestinians (alleged collaborators), and which fired rockets from within and adjacent to Palestinian hospitals, UN schools, and private residential areas.

Hamas regularly commits war crimes and its combined efforts are flagrant violations of the laws of armed conflict and the Geneva Conventions.

Hamas rejects a peaceful resolution to the conflict, mourned the death of arch-terrorist Osama Bin-Laden and as such, these terrorists must be confronted and relegated to the sidelines when trying to procure Mideast peace.
