HRC In Hill Times: IHRA Definition Of Antisemitism No Smokescreen To Shield Israel From Criticism

by HonestReporting Canada

In a recent letter to the Hill Times, writer Morgan Duchesney baselessly claimed that the International Holocaust Remembrance Alliance’s (IHRA) definition of antisemitism is merely an attempt to shield Israel from criticism. Not only does this allegation ignore IHRA’s explicit statement stating otherwise, but this claim also utterly ignores the real and insidious manner in which antisemitism has morphed and hidden behind claims of anti-Zionism, thus creating an important need to identify Jew-hatred.

On July 13, HRC set the record straight in the Hill Times pointing out that IHRA is not a smokescreen to make Israel immune to criticism.
