For well over 13 months, more than 100 hostages kidnapped by Hamas terrorists on October 7, 2023, have languished as captives in Gaza.

The continuing suffering of the hostages in Gaza – men, women and children alike – is also a reminder as to why Israel is fighting Hamas, to help bring them home.

Sadly, the fate of the hostages has been widely forgotten in far too many news media outlets.

To help remind Canadians and the news media of the hostages kidnapped from Israel, on November 21, HonestReporting Canada ran a full-page advertisement in The Toronto Sun newspaper with a weekday readership of 275,000, reminding readers that while Canada’s biggest city is following superstar Taylor Swift’s visit, with many who are enjoying her concerts, they cannot forget that on the other side of the world, innocent civilians just like them are being held as hostages by a murderous terrorist group, who on that fateful day, massacred innocent festival goers at the Nova music festival.

While no advertisement will help free the hostages, but it may help remind Canadians that Hamas, not Israel, is the violent aggressor in this war and can end the hostilities instantly if they disarmed, surrendered and released Israel’s hostages. Instead of Bring Them Home, Let Our People Go!
