John Ging, head of the United Nation’s Relief and Works Agency (UNRWA) in the Gaza Strip, was interviewed on CBC radio’s “As it happens” program about the agency’s plans to include Holocaust education in a new Gaza school curriculum. Mr. Ging brushed off the virulent opposition from Hamas hardliners in Gaza who have said that including the details of the murder of six million Jews by the Nazis in school teaching would be “marketing a lie” and that those responsible for teaching the holocaust would be committing a “war crime“.
