Suprise, surprise. According to the National Post's Matthew Fisher, Hamas is preventing regular Palestinians from having a dissenting opinion:
- "It is hard to find anyone willing to say a word against Hamas, at least for attribution, with so many men with long beards eavesdropping whenever foreign journalists start asking questions.
- We're caught between two fires," meaning Hamas and Israel, was the closest anyone would come to criticizing Hamas in public, and the man would not give him name."
