Globe & Mail Issues Correction After HRC Intervention

While discussing the results of a BBC World Service public opinion poll, Globe & Mail columnist Jeffrey Simpson makes the following erroneous statement in a February 10 column ?Only 21 per cent of respondents said Israel played a positive role; 71 per cent said it played a negative one.?

Contrary to Mr. Simpson?s statement, only ?51 per cent? of those polled in the BBC?s World Service Poll indicated that Israel played a ?negative role?, not 71 per cent. Mr Simpson is off by a whopping 20% margin. The veracity of this information is confirmed here.
