Globe and Mail Wipes Israel From UN Map

On September 20, the Globe and Mail featured the following graphic listing the 193 member countries that make up the UN General Assembly. The graphic was appended to an article about the Palestinian gambit to procure a unilateral declaration of independence:

There was only one problem…. and it was a major one. Of the 193 member countries listed, ironically, the most important country considering the debate at hand, Israel was not listed as a UN member state. As is common knowledge, Israel was admitted as member state on May 11, 1949

We trust that this error was not born out of malice, but was just simple sloppy editing on the Globe and Mail’s behalf.

Commendably, here is the correction that the Globe published on the following day:
