Globe and Mail Issues Clarification Re: Jerusalem

Tuesday’s edition of the Globe and Mail carried the following clarification regarding the status of Jerusalem on page A2:

"A secondary headline in Saturday’s Focus section referred to Jerusalem as the Israeli capital. Israel declared Jerusalem its capital in 1949, and most of its major governmental institutions are there. Only a few countries have formally recognized Jerusalem as the capital, but many maintain diplomatic presences in the city."
