Here’s the latest from the Globe and Mail’s indepth feature on Hamas. After fielding questions from its readers directed at Hamas official Ahmed Yousef, on Monday the Globe and Mail will publish his answers to several of the questions that were posed. While we trust that Yousef will give the usual doublespeak that we’ve come to expect from Hamasniks, but you never know what might come out of his mouth so it’s worth checking out the online conversation.
Here’s the Globe’s teaser:
“The Israelis won’t talk to Hamas. Stephen Harper won’t either, and neither will Barack Obama. But you can. Send questions for Hamas to firstname.lastname@example.org with “Ask Hamas” as the subject. A selection will be answered by senior Hamas official Ahmed Yousef, an adviser to Ismail Haniyeh, Hamas’s prime minister for the Gaza Strip. Check back for the answers, starting Monday.”
We personally liked Norman Spector’s retort to this: “Memo to Globe: Maybe Israel, Harper, Obama won’t talk to Hamas, but Assad/Ahmadinejad will.”
