Gaza's home-grown tragedy continues

by Mike Fegelman

Pal_flag Associated Press statistics show that violence between Palestinians in Gaza is growing worse with each passing day.

Fighting between Palestinian factions killed 57 Gazans in 2004, 101 in 2005 and 252 in 2006. And according to the Palestinian human rights group Al-Mezan, during the first three months of 2007, Palestinians killed 147 fellow Gazans, including 10 children.

The violence, much of it between rival clans, has skyrocketed since Israel withdrew from the Gaza Strip in late 2005. Perhaps that’s why some Palestinians are starting to hope for an Israeli return to Gaza.
