On October 14, CBC Power and Politics broadcast a feature-length 12-minute+ discussion on the new Inter-Parliamentary Task Force to Combat Online Antisemitism.

CBC Anchor Vassy Kapelos interviewed Canadian MP’s Anthony Housefather (Liberal), Marty Morantz (Conservative), along with Israeli MK Michal Cotler-Wunsh (Blue and White), all distinguished task force members.

The bipartisan task force features parliamentarians from around the world and seeks to put a spotlight on the issue of online antisemitism while promoting policies that curb the proliferation of online hatred.

Whether bigoted comments come from individuals or hateful incitement to genocide by Iranian leader Ayatollah Khamenei on Twitter, the task force looks at how online antisemitism can translate into real world violence and holds web giants accountable for providing a platform to Jew hatred.

Thank CBC Now! When Canadian media outlets display excellence in their reporting of Israel and issues revolving around antisemitism, they deserve praise and recognition. Please thank CBC Power and Politics for devoting significant airtime to the issue of online antisemitism.
