CTV Reporter Scores One-on-One Interview With Israeli President

CTV Mideast Bureau Chief Janis Mackey-Frayer sat down with Israeli President Shimon Peres for just under an hour at his official residence recently. Both discussed "Israel's growth, being an early political hawk, Zionism, and the disturbing fury of Jewish settlers on the West Bank." To read a short report about the interview click here.

Peres recalled how in 1951, he met with Canadian billionaire Sam Bronfman and sought his support "to build an army for the new Jewish state."
