The image dominates. However many words are written or spoken about the Israel-Lebanon crisis, nothing conveys the tragedy and devastation the way pictures do. But in presenting images, news media have a responsibility to be fair and accurate.
On July 18, for example, CTV’s Web site presented two views of the crisis: "Inside Israel" and "Inside Lebanon." While showing images fropm both sides of the border seems fair, a closer analysis of the images themselves raises some interesting questions.
