Courtesy of The Rebel, Igal Hecht reports about an organization, “Heart for Peace”, a non-political mixed team of Israeli and Palestinian cardiologists, that have saved the lives of over 610 Palestinian children since 2005.

While Arabs stab Israeli civilians, a Jewish hospital saves Arab babies

According to Hecht:

“News of heightened violence coming out of Jerusalem in recent weeks, leaves many skeptical about the possibilities for peace in the region.

Meanwhile, at Hadassah Medical Centre in Jerusalem life goes on because “suffering has no nationality” and the doctors, nurses and patients here, whether Israeli or Palestinian, put the children first.

As one Palestinian doctor notes, “We are participating in the creation of life – we don’t think about the politics”

This may not be what we hear in the news but this is a reality that exists and one we need to hear more about.”
