  • Feb 19 2010: “Footnotes in Gaza”. CBC Radio host Bob McKeown failed to properly attribute a false and inflammatory statement about Israeli home demolitions to pro-Palestinian activist Joe Sacco: “One of the haunting and recurring themes is the bulldozer that every day is somewhere demolishing someone’s home.” CBC acknowledged the improper attribution: “He might have said, “One of the haunting and recurring themes [in the book] is the bulldozer that every day is somewhere demolishing someone’s home.”
  • Feb 11 2009: Anna Maria Tremonti in an interview to Danny Hershtal, candidate for the Yisrael Beitenu party, stated “We know that Arab-Israelis do not serve in the army – we also know that ultra-Orthodox Jews do not serve in the army. What would happen if they refused to under your platform?” A CBC producer agreed that the “information within the question was more categorical than ideally it should have been.”
  • Aug. 10, 2006: Host falsely claimed that a gay pride parade in Jerusalem would be held shortly, however the event was cancelled because of the security concerns due to the Hezbollah-Israel conflict.  On-air correction issued.
