CBC Singles Out Israel, Again

Cbc_2In another example of CBC‘s belief that Israel is the aggressor in the Middle East, a news article on CBC’s Web site reports that:

"Israeli and Lebanese leaders have agreed to a ‘cessation of hostilities’ to begin on Monday morning, UN Secretary General Kofi Annan said Saturday."

Yet CBC.ca’s headline for the article reads:

Since nothing in the article says that Annan singled out Israel, we wonder why CBC chose to highlight "the Israeli offensive." Why not reference the "Hezbollah offensive"?

For comparison purposes, here is how CTV headlined its own news article based on the same Associated Press wire story:

"Kofi Annan sets Mideast ceasefire for Monday."
