CBC Appoints New Head Honcho

Johncruickshank701098 This just in according to the Canadian Press: "John Cruickshank, a former managing editor of the Globe and Mail and former editor-in-chief of the Vancouver Sun, has been appointed head of CBC News."

He replaces former editor-in-chief Tony Burman who resigned after 35 years at the public broadcaster.

He will carry the title of "publisher" although there is news that the network may hire an "editor-in-chief" to work alongside Cruickshank.
