According to Canadian Press (CP) reporter Jennifer Ditchburn:
"Foreign Affairs Minister Peter MacKay was also taken to task for using a government Challenger jet to attend an international meeting in Rome last July where world leaders discussed the conflict between Israel and Hezbollah in AFGHANISTAN."

As CP has reported quite extensively about the 34-day conflict between Israel and Hezbollah this past summer, we were very surprised to see that their own staff reporter did not know where it happened.
To set the record straight, the ‘conflict’ took place for the most part along Israel?s northern border and Beirut?s south, not in Afghanistan!
Further complicating the situation, this erroneous wire report was picked up en masse by the following Canadian media outlets: The Chronicle Herald, Ottawa Sun, Ottawa Citizen; Montreal Gazette; Toronto Star; CTV.ca; Canoe.ca; CJAD; AM940; 680 News; News 1130; News 570; and The Brandon Sun.
