BBC Correspondent Kidnapped in Gaza

by Mike Fegelman

Johnston_1 Reuters Canada is reporting that the BBC’s Gaza correspondent Alan Johnson (pictured at right) was kidnapped by unknown assailants in Gaza City.

The BBC, on the other hand, is more cautious, insisting that Johnson is currently "missing."

According to the BBC report:

"The Corporation said it has been unable to contact Alan Johnston, but did not comment on Palestinian reports that he had been kidnapped.

‘We are currently unable to contact him and are concerned for his safety,’ the BBC said in a statement.

We are trying to gather as much information as possible."
